Management System Certification Bodies
International Accreditation Service (IAS) offers accreditation for Management System (MS) Certification Bodies (CB) based on ISO/IEC 17021: Conformity assessment – Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems in the areas of quality management systems, environmental management systems, food safety management systems and information security management systems. Additional disciplines will be added, as required.
The objective for this accreditation program is to promote and provide confidence to industry sectors, consumers and regulators through the IAS conformity assessment and accreditation infrastructure. This accreditation will have a major impact on ensuring safe and quality products including services for consumers coming from IAS-accredited, competent certification bodies and their certified organizations.
MS CBs and their certified organizations meet legal and additional requirements imposed by regulators and/or specifiers at global, national and local levels. This results in market-driven forces for third-party assessed management system bodies to be accredited based on recognized international standards. IAS accreditation ultimately provides the credentials that ensure your certification marks will have full acceptance in the marketplace and by governmental agencies that regulate service or product acceptance.
