IAS Accreditation Committee Hearing
The next IAS Accreditation Committee hearing will be held virtually via Webex on Wednesday, June 11th, 8:30am – 12pm Pacific time. The purpose of the hearing is to establish or revise accreditation criteria pertaining to IAS accreditation programs and to inform the public on IAS principles and major policies. The open hearing process provides all interested parties with the opportunity to contribute ideas or voice their opinions on any of the Proposed Criteria.

While IAS Accreditation Committee hearings (meetings) are open to all interested parties. For security reasons, IAS will require registration to participate.

Proposed Criteria
1. AC89 – Testing Laboratories – The proposed changes are intended to update references to IAS policies and other editorial changes. Read More.
2. AC98 – Inspection Agencies – The proposed changes are intended to add mandatory ILAC Policy documents and other guideline documents. Read More.
3. AC204 – Calibration Laboratories – The proposed changes are intended to update reference to ILAC P9 and adding IAS document issued to provide clarification on implementation of ILAC P9. Read More.
4. AC291 – Special Inspection Agency – The proposed changes are intended to reduce visual and structural clutter, enhance the logical flow of the content, and remove formal requirements from the ‘Notes’ sections, where they are not ideally placed. Read More.
5. AC478 – Metal Building Assemblers – The proposed changes are intended to clarify implementation requirement related to Experience Modification Rate (EMR). Proposal also intends to clarify requirements for insurance and site specific checklists. Read More.
6. AC782 – Third Party Certification Bodies – The proposed changes are intended to remove reference to obsolete requirements, and general updates to IAF Mandatory Document. Read More.
7. AC784 – Reference Material Producers – The proposed changes are intended to include new references to Standards, Transition Policy and general updates to ILAC Policy documents. Read More.
8. AC800 – Validation and Verification Bodies – The proposed changes are intended to add new ISO Standard under the scope of AC800, and update normative documents to include IAF Mandatory Document. Read More.
