IAS Accreditation Committee Hearing
The purpose of the hearing is to establish or revise accreditation criteria pertaining to IAS accreditation programs and to inform the public on IAS principles and major policies. The open hearing process provides all interested parties with the opportunity to contribute ideas or voice their opinions on any of the Proposed Criteria. The hearing will begin at 8:30 a.m. (Pacific Time) on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

While IAS Accreditation Committee hearings (meetings) are open to all interested parties. For security reasons, IAS will require registration to participate.

1. AC89 – Testing Laboratories – The proposed changes are intended to change the number of the IAS Policy on Proficiency Testing to IAS/ADM/103, add IAS Policy for the Integrated Accreditation of Conformity Assessment Body having Multi-Site Activities in Multiple Locations (IAS/ADM/100), add “I” in front of “LAC”, Remove IAS/TL-AA-PCA/058 IAS Guideline for Defining Scopes of Accreditation related to PS1-19 (Structural Plywood), PS-2-18 (Performance Standard for Wood Structural Panels), and Applicable European Union (EU) Directives/Regulations, Replace IAS/TL-CL-031 with revised IAS Policy on Participation in Proficiency Testing and/or Interlaboratory Comparisons. AC782 – Third Party Certification Bodies – The proposed changes are intended to remove reference to IAS Policy on Authorized Signatories, remove reference to IAS MD 10, change the version of IAF MD 12 to reflect the 2023 current version, change the version of IAF MD 16 to reflect the 2024 current version, add clarification regarding surveillance assessment purpose, and add the assessment activity between reassessments to reflect the requirement of the federal regulation.
