


Anyone performing special inspections in New York City should attend this two-day course offered by the International Accreditation Service (IAS). The course provides an overview of the requirements for the New York City Department of Buildings (NYC DOB) for accreditation of special inspection agencies (SIA).
International Accreditation Service (IAS), an approved by NYC DOB for accreditation services delivers training to assist special inspection agencies to understand accreditation. The course provides information on effectively preparing and implementing a management system manual, including the procedures and forms required to comply with ISO/IEC 17020 and the NYC DOB requirements. The training draws upon IAS staff assessment experiences and insights from field visits and management system reviews. Training includes discussions and exercises and develops participant understanding of accreditation process concepts. Training benefits both technical and management personnel directly involved in special inspection administration.
