IAS accredits validation and verification bodies to ISO/IEC 17029. This accreditation demonstrates to the marketplace, stakeholders and regulators that the agencies/bodies have met the requirements of IAS accreditation, and requirements for operating certification schemes in a competent, consistent and impartial manner. As accredited entities these agencies/bodies are periodically monitored for compliance.

IAS Accreditation for Validation and Verification Bodies

• Demonstrates compliance with ISO/IEC Standard 17029.
• IAS accreditation is accepted by regulators and the marketplace.
• Bodies operating in accordance with ISO/IEC 17029 can provide either first-party, second -party or third-party activities.
