Assessor Opportunities
IAS is actively seeking contract technical assessors and experts experienced in auditing management and technical processes of laboratories, inspection agencies, building departments, product certification agencies and management system certification bodies.
Knowledge

- Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (DoD ELAP)

- ISO/IEC 17025 (Testing and Calibration)
- ISO/IEC 17020 (Inspection) / AC291 (Special Inspection Agencies)
- ISO/IEC 17065 (Product)
- ISO/IEC 17021 (Management Systems)
- ISO/IEC 17024 (Personnel Certification)
- AC472 (Metal Building Systems)
- AC473 (Cold-Formed Steel Component Manufacturer)
- AC478 (Metal Building Assemblers)
- AC172 (Structural Steel Fabricators)
Experience
Technical Assessors and Technical Experts are being sought with specific knowledge and experience including but not limited to the following areas:
- Testing: Biology, Chemical, Environmental, Electrical (energy star programs), Food
- Calibration: Dimensional, Electrical (capabilities in estimating measurement uncertainty and evaluation proficiency testing results)
- Product Certification
- Management System Certification
- Personnel Certification
- Building codes inspections
Assessor/Expert Work Location
All assessments are completed on client sites either onsite or remotely. Occasional desk-top reviews are required without site visits. This is not a full time position and assessors will be required to be able to conduct assessments upon request.
