IAS Accreditation Committee Hearing
The purpose of the hearing is to establish or revise accreditation criteria pertaining to IAS accreditation programs and to inform the public on IAS principles and major policies. The open hearing process provides all interested parties with the opportunity to contribute ideas or voice their opinions on any item posted on the agenda. The hearing will begin at 8:30 a.m. (Pacific Time) on Thursday October 22, 2020.

The hearing will be held online via WebEx.
Participation
You are invited to participate at the hearing and provide written or oral comments. While IAS Accreditation Committee hearings (meetings) are open to all interested parties, for security reasons, IAS will require registration to participate. The registration form is linked here.
For convenience, IAS has developed a new form to facilitate public comments on criteria to be heard at the above meeting. While this form is not mandatory, we encourage the use of the form for consistency. The comment form is linked here.

Proposed Accreditation Criteria
- AC89 – Testing Laboratories – Revisions are proposed to update ILAC defined deadline to transition to ISO/IEC 17025:2017, and clarification on enforcement of IAS policies. Read More.
- AC204 – Calibration Laboratories – Revisions are proposed to update ILAC defined deadline to transition to ISO/IEC 17025:2017, and clarification on enforcement of IAS policies. Read More.
- AC251 – Building Departments, Code Enforcement, and Third-Parties Providing Building and/ or Property Maintenance Code Enforcement Services – Revisions are proposed to include ISO BCEGS Program into the IAS AC251 accreditation program. Read More.
- AC477 – Management System Certification Bodies. Revisions are proposed addressing editorial revisions, and clarifications on requirements such as remote assessments, and witnessing requirements under Stage 1 and State 2 of certification process. Read More.
