IAS Accreditation Committee Hearing, Wednesday July 14, 2021
The purpose of the hearing is to establish or revise accreditation criteria pertaining to IAS accreditation programs and to inform the public on IAS principles and major policies. The open hearing process provides all interested parties with the opportunity to contribute ideas or voice their opinions on any of the Proposed Criteria below. The hearing will begin at 8:00 a.m. – noon (Pacific Time) on Wednesday July 14, 2021.

While IAS Accreditation Committee hearings (meetings) are open to all interested parties. For security reasons, IAS will require registration to participate.

Proposed Criteria
1. AC251 – Building Departments, Code Enforcement Departments and Third Parties Providing Building And / Or Property Maintenance Code Enforcement Services – The proposed charges are intended to reduce the amount of documentation required to be submitted, thereby further streamlining the accreditation process. 2. AC354 – Field Evaluation of Unlisted Electrical Equipment – The proposed charges are intended to add clarity to Section 4.3 and add an alternative to Section 5.1.1. Read more. No Comments received as of June 21, 2021.

4. AC477 – Management System Certification Bodies – The proposed charges are intended to improve clarity, add new definitions, add new policies, improved requirements on handling of transitions from old versions of new versions of sub-scope standards and a new section on Aerospace Quality Management Systems.
